Hey guys, I am asking for a little help once again. I am working on some updates to the ABC and have been considering adding a podcast. Podcasting is the new hotness in financial blogging, and I have considered the idea, but only if it’s the way you guys want to get your money saving tips from me.
I won’t be doing interviews or anything like that, the podcasts would basically just be me reading my articles out loud. Not very exciting, but for those of you who listen to podcasts while commuting or exercising you might find it an efficient way to learn about saving money. Articles will continue to be published on this side whether I start doing podcasts or not. So do you want the ABC in podcast form? Let me know in this poll:
This week’s best articles on how to save money
Ok now for the good stuff. As you know, I read dozens of website and blogs on how to save money so that you don’t have to. Here are my favorite articles this week:
Selling A Car on Consignment– I had never heard of this idea before I read this article by Kim at eyesonthedollar.com. It sounds like a great idea though.
The problem with buying from individuals is that it is very inefficient. Buyers have to pick out the cars they want to see one by one, come up with a time that works for both parties, and then drive all over town to see one car at a time.
Consignment solves all of these problems. I think it’s a great idea and it seems like this could be a great business.
Are You a Rate Jumper? Why I Look For Better Rates– With interest rates at rock bottom lows the last several years the number one money question many people have is where should I put my money to earn a little interest? Grayson on frugalrules.com explores the idea of jumping from bank account to bank account looking for the best rate and answers the question is rate jumping worth your time?
Moving Forward With Solar Energy (Part 1) and Moving Forward With Solar Energy (Part 2)– The Lazy Man from lazymanandmoney.com has been exploring solar energy and wrote a couple of great articles about the math behind solar energy you will want to check out if you are also thinking about solar.
3 Ways To Learn Spanish Online For Free– Christianpf.com explains how a person can teach themselves Spanish without spending a dime. The internet is the best thing to ever happen to do-it-yourselfers.
Backup Hard Drives: Expect Failure and Plan Accordingly– Jonathan from mymoneyblog.com writes about why hard drives fail and what you can do about it. I know I have had hard drives fail many times and have lost more data than I want to think about.
